MATERIALS REQUIRED:

• Wood of your choice, ½” is recommended.
• Fast acting adhesive - hot glue gun, expoxy, etc.
• Sandpaper
• Acrylic paints in your choice of country shades.
• Fine black liner pen for facial details, stitches and lettering.
• Spanish Moss for hair
• Scrap of frayed country fabric for a bow snowman's neck.
• Country patches and buttons if desired. Raffia.
• Wire to attach pieces and for hanger.
• Antiquing medium of your choice, if desired.
• Varnish.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Trace patterns onto wood, cut out, drill any necessary holes, and sand well.
   *Cut two hearts and Reverse star piece for right side.
   
2. Paint all pieces in your choice of colors.
   You can paint carrot and mouth rocks or use wood scraps to make them.
   You can also use real buttons for his coat, or paint them on.
3. Allow pieces to dry thoroughly.
   
4. Sand along all edges very well, and also lightly along all other surfaces to achieve an aged appearance.
   
5. Using a fine black pen, add the lettering, stitches, and facial details. (Make sure the pen is waterproof and will not smudge!)
   
6. Varnish entire project and allow sufficient drying time.
   
7. Use the antiquing medium to enhance the rustic look, and add another coat of varnish to seal.
   
8. Glue star on heart as shown for left side. Reverse for right side.
   
9. Wire the three pieces to the Sign board.
   
10. Wire a hanger for the top. Tie on a big raffia bow to finish.
    That’s it! A great addition to your Christmas decorations for the holidays!
