Let it Snowman

Country Corner Crafts 2001
MATERIALS REQUIRED:
- Wood of your choice, ½” is recommended.
- Fast acting adhesive - hot glue gun, expoxy, etc.
- Sandpaper
- Acrylic paints in your choice of country shades.
- Fine black liner pen for facial details, and lettering.
- Spanish Moss for hair
- Scrap of frayed country fabric for a bow by angel's neck.
- country patches and buttons if desired. Raffia if hanging.
- Wire for hanger, or strong magnets for back.
- Antiquing medium of your choice, if desired.
- Varnish.
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Trace patterns onto wood, cut out, drill any necessary holes, and sand well.
- Paint all pieces in your choice of colors.
You can paint the eyes and carrot, patches and button or use wood scraps,fabric and a real button.
- Allow pieces to dry thoroughly.
- Sand along all edges very well, and also lightly along all other surfaces to achieve an aged appearance.
- Using a fine black pen, add the lettering and facial details. (Make sure the pen is waterproof and will not smudge!)
- Varnish entire project and allow sufficient drying time.
- Use the antiquing medium to enhance the rustic look, and add another coat of varnish to seal.
- Glue star and hat brim to snowman as shown by guidelines on pattern.
- Glue angel wings behind snowman.
- Attach strong magnets to the back, or attach wire, tie on a big raffia bow and hang him up.
That’s it! Hang him on the tree, or stick him on the fridge this Christmas!
